This site is a tribute to Brian Steptoe, beloved husband to Ann, brother to Gordon, father to Piers and Dominic, and grandfather to Struan, Caitlin, Sebastian, Freya and Tessa.

Brian was born and raised in Southampton, attending King Edward VI School, before graduating from the University of Southampton. He served in the RAF from 1953 until 1970 when he joined the University of London Careers Advisory Service until he retired as Director in 1996. Brian travelled widely throughout his life, serving in Yemen, Spain, Gibraltar, and later living in France and the Scottish Highlands before moving to Wells and then latterly Downton where he celebrated his 90th birthday with family and friends in December.

He is much loved and will always be remembered.
